Yep these bnpl chaps who were lauded as geniuses, were only smart in that they made themselves a pile of money.
An awful lot of people, customers, investors, are losing life savings and struggling.
Thats not hjow decent people behave, and theres lots deeply immoral with all this.
But hey who cares about morals when sticking to the letter of the law (kind of). As gecko says "greed is good". Until it backfires.

The Australian election demonstrated public sentiment towards the immorality and greed.
if Albanese lives up to his mandate, the whole party will stop.
Rather than giving hundreds of millions to a few, without any tenders of oversight, a few million will instead get a livable income
Maybe even a new Federal ICAC will seek to claw back a few billion given away by "mistake"
