I think you'll find that over the longer term "growth hacking" is bullshit.
I can find you 5m "customers" or more, easily. Monetising them is the challenge.
Loads of people are up for free money, but trying to get a penny out of them is where
things get challenging.
Maybe as long as it's other peoples money youre throwing around, it doesnt
matter. These companies have no competitive advantage, and get beaten up the moment they
try to make a dollar.

When it all goes pear shaped they simply "pivot" and trying throwing opm at something else.

There are many wonderful examples of this. I cant mention names, as I'll be sued, but the startup
landscape is littered with people who were seen as superheroes as long as they were adding
"customers", people who never paid them a penny.
Now opm has dried up, and these ridiculous ventures have to show they can survive
on their own two feet.
