There is considerable irony in your referencing Matrix, (asx:MTL) as that is the company we sold to Kerry Packer for over $100m.
Matrix ran the Easycall paging networks across SE Asia. KP bought it on the DCF of all our customers.
Not his best investment, as mobile phones were killing paging.
But none the less, due diligence showed what each and every customer was worth.
Paying us some $10pm and hanging around for 36 mnths (looking at churn/retention/spend) we could find a a value per customer, which is what was paid.
To claim customers paying you nothing are worth something is absurd.
But good luck.
You wont pay $58 a customer, but will give money to others to do it for you ?
Tragic fact of life is the more customers zip et al put on, the more they, or you as shareholder, lose.
It's basic arithmetic.
