poor analogy = Starbucks. Works in some countries, doesn’t in others. They would/ did close Australia stores to focus on other more viable markets (USA)
review business operations, models based on demand and economic conditions in each country.
I agree zip made mistakes growing to aggressively by buying “success” rather than earning it.
don’t forget BNPL companies have tried to compete in Australia but recognised Afterpay and ZIP are too dominant so have not really pushed.
