    They're independents, they've been elected to act as independents. What's an independents roll, it's to get the best outcome for his/her electorate. It's not about Red or Blue.

    If those electorates wanted the Coalition they would have voted for them outright. Those independents are very anti- coalition and those electorates all knew this before the election. You can also argue that if they wanted Labor they would have voted for them outright.

    But they didn't they voted for independents for this very reason, so they could vote with which ever party has the best policies for their electorate on the day. That's why they sit on the crossbench.
