    Not sceptical in general but coming from a software/infrastructure support perspective I have a habit of letting patches soak on a few nodes in production for a while after testing before I go for general release. Especially if I don't have a backup to revert to or an effective rollback plan.

    I have often regretted trusting a deployment team when they said "don't worry about it we have tested it and it is fine".

    Maybe this will give you an insight into my thought process.
