i guess after months of downplaying the rona, this is the chickens coming home to roost for gladys and scotty... Next election will be interesting. I wonder if the current state government will have the same approval levels as the qld and wa govs did?
Also i think a critical difference between the blm protests and this one is that while the blm protesters were out roaming the streets, they weren't disputing the existence of covid - so they were mostly masked up (from what i saw/heard). The current protestors have no reason to take any preventative action... this might be a trump-rally-esque level spreader event?
