Sure everything has two sides. The short trader attack on the share price has been a magnificent buying opportunity for DW, and anybody else who took advantage. The ride from 0.88 to 1.34 over just a few weeks has seen a 50% return on the investment, and since its a zero sum game, so short traders have "lost" that amount.

I don't buy Mr Tutor's view though that it's a level playing field for everyone in the market and there is nothing to see here. I think the serious short trader attacks do have a significant effect on the share price and their targets are smaller traders and retail investors, or even to cause the removal of a stock from a particular index. Maybe they have the financial tools to do it and lawyers to ensure that they are just on the right side of the legal rules, but fair or morally right is another thing.
