I think a number of posters are overly optimistic about the value of any possible deal with WPL. Many of us thought hundreds of millions would come our way in the Gambia farmout. If we win and preempt then onsell perhaps then we stand to make whatever value is given to the increased resources since the COP sale, the increased oil price since then and the potential control/operatorship. Maybe this is why we have not seen a RISC update for over a year on SNE or anything from the jv.

Call me cynical but the sp rise on no actual news is a worry as it may point to a need to raise funds or funny business around getting a better trading average for whatever reason. Then again FAR tends to go down on news no matter how good so this may just be its natural pattern.
