I understand your intent and agree that it would be nice if something can be done to move things forward. I believe both classes of securities holders would also welcome a way forward to improve the value & return on their respective holdings. But for any proposal to succeed there would have to be some compromise from both classes if they want a return in the short term.

The alternative is to wait it out until business improves (or the company collapses, which in my view is unlikely), but then no one gets any distribution in the short term.

In the end, as you say, the matter is in the hands of the ordinary shareholders and their representative Board, as they are the ones who have voting rights.
