Everyone knows that Gaza is an open air prison run by Israel. Israel's strategic eviction of their illegal settlers in Gaza was solely for the purpose of running the prison more effectively. The Hamas rockets are a prison riot. Gaza has now been under siege for many years and blocks Palestinians from leaving by land and sea. It controls what goes in and out, including a limit on food calories per prisoner, but like all prisons a degree of smuggling happens.
