So there's more than a million vacant properties out there and we all assume they're second properties/holiday homes owned by wealthy people (whether Australians or Foreign-domiciled). To be sure, that thought is comforting for all those who believe in the idea that there's always a huge property shortage in Australia.
But I wonder how many of this number are properties that have been built but never been sold? i.e. Apartments the size of shoeboxes in defect-riddled high-rise towers? You know... the ones that make loud whistling and cracking sounds in the wind?
