Below applies to the US, IMO, it's much the same here:
How hard will the Fed fight inflation? Everything hinges on it. We hope and believe Jerome Powell (Philipp Lowe in Oz) will keep pushing until inflation drops below 3%. We just don’t know how long that will take, and we fully expect the Fed will break some things trying to get there. That’s going to hurt but a 1970s rerun would be even worse. We have no good choices left.
