It seems to me that George W is going to try a smoke and mirrors trick on the US consumer. Talk of a stimulus package (lower taxes & lower interest rates) and turning helicopter Ben lose with more Fed. money to put more money in everyones pocket. Only to have it taken away with inflation,a falling dollar and unemployment. He will probably get away with it long enough to pass the problems along to someone else. I see the second half of '08 much worse than the first. Don't forget we still have the the olympics to come and the chinese will spend whatever it takes (including proping up the US) to insure it's success.
