    Thanks the reply, BB.

    To clarify, renewables currently wont replace fossil fuels without major disruption to living standards. And Labor's efforts were economically harmful and did not make much of a difference. You might think of Lomborg as a nutter, but I think the notion of strong economies being more able to solve problems a sound one.

    I liken global warming alarmism to the ageing catastrophe: We hear all manner of dire predictions, yet the event is decades away, and you are kidding yourself if you think you can reliably forecast that far ahead with any accuracy. What seems unsound to me is that we should want to shackle ourselves today for something so far ahead. Wont such an approach leave us economically weaker and less able to deal with a problem if it were to arise?
