Animal Farm is a distinct critique of Stalinist communism... it starts with the oppression by the capitalist farmer. In the end the pigs become the masters. Again. entirely different.

Orwell's style is distinctly dark while Huxley's work has a chemical induced euphoria and all is sweetness and light.

I think you are confusting it with Logan's Run.

Brave New World ends with John Savage slowly rotating in the stairwell of a lighthouse. Mustafa Mond gets promoted to world controller and everything continues much as it always had, all to Ford's glory.

(or that's what my memory is yelling at me.)
