I think taking a payment in shares shows the ultimate faith in the company that AF has - if CRO went under, it would mean AF had sold his successful company, Appstab, for nothing. Appstab has made a comfortable living for years, has employed a number of staff and developed a number of products, many of which it has sold along the way. All Appstab shareholders must have agreed to this form of payment, and if ever there was an incentive to make something work, here it is! It would have been easy to take some money, but taking shares only is tantamount to saying this technology is a winner. AF is no fool and he knows exactly what he is sitting on.
