Greenshoots is based largely in India but also has personnel in the Phillipines. Many of their staff are educated in the UK and the US in top universities. They have a level of education and expertise that we couldn’t buy here. We simply don’t have the skilled workforce here and anyone approaching that level of expertise could demand a massive salary here. The world is in a tech explosion and Australia is unable to keep up with the demand for high quality staff. All tech companies looking at fast expansion have snatched overseas expertise. This includes players like Atlassian. The other benefit, of course, is that buying personnel in developing countries is relatively cheap. I would hazard a guess that this type of acquisition of Australian personnel would be 10 to 20 times more expensive. This is a smart acquisition that clearly demonstrates the urgency CRO have placed on rapid expansion
