There is no doubt the past six months have been a roller coaster ride. I agree that Cirralto may lack a bit of experience in presenting a polished and disciplined front to shareholders and the stock market.
I do like that they are communicating and presenting well to their potential customer base. The spenda.co website has come on in leaps and bounds. It is very well put together with some very polished. well written copy targeting key benefits and specific industry verticals. Download the white paper if you haven't already. They are backing that up well with their social media promotions.
I also think that they, including Adrian, have used linkedin well for promotional activity.
I do think it is unfortunate that certain things have been tweeted. There were those lambo tweets from David of FSCo and a recent tweet by Adrian that I was critical of (but I may not have understood the context). There was a tweet (or was it linkedin?) from one of the Greenshoots guys about the India potential. I personally would like to see them reign-in the hype on social media, especially twitter. These low fidelity Chinese whispers leads to over-hyped speculation through social media and clearly everyone got ahead of themselves, including, IMHO, lambodave.
I agree with @ksimmons and others who have suggested that the ASX was right to reign-in and rule out of order some of the company's communications, although it is hard to form an opinion without knowing the details. So I can understand that the ASX might be running a more critical eye over announcements.
From what we hear, it sounds like the board have been very active and supportive of Adrian which is good. It seems that our very experienced Chairman, with his Agribusiness connections, may be involved in some of that strategy which would be good. The anicdotal evidence I have heard is that the board of directors have been active in referring business which is also very encouraging. I agree with the comments someone made here the other day that Adrian and the company need some assistance in presenting the story to the market. You don't want to lose that entrepreneurial spirit Adrian exudes but beyond the purpose and vision you need investors to understand the roadmap and form a picture of what is actually happening on the ground.
You are communicating frustrations similar to those that many shareholders have posted here. Adrian spins out a lot of enthusiasm and optimism and he describes a lot of things in somewhat obscure metaphore, inconsistently, that some people struggle to understand. In many of his shareholder briefings he speaks from the top of his head so he often comes at things and describes things from different angles, rather than paint a consistent picture of what is going on and where things are going. I found I've had to work hard to pull together the pieces from many different presentations Adrian has given to form a picture in my mind of what I think is going on with this business. I think a lot of the stuff that Adrian speaks about is where they are strategically heading in a very fast paced manner, not necessarily about what has been rolled out in Spenda and is working on the ground right now. I think one factor is that this business and the digitial payments fintech landscape is developing very fast and Cirralto are somewhat responding to the emerging opportunities in a fast paced manner that will take time to bed down and generate results.
So I can understand why a lot of shareholders would decide that the execution risks in the business are not for them right now.
