That's great. However , I never let the prospects of paying tax get in the way of a good trade or profit. I think it's one of the Golden Investment Rules ......but there are a lot on these forums which swear by the 50% Capital Gains Discounting for holding 12 months. I never say never and will not restrict myself in that manner because the markets can be very very fickle in how they giveth ....and taketh away.

So you should never be too worried about paying the tax as it means you're doing okay. Remember its a business like anything else. And that's just my view. Plus there are many many other ways, means and vehicles to reduce your tax payable.....and that's not advice because you need to look into these matters yourself.
