You are 100% correct Sir.
Many (including myself) were of that same belief so.I sought clarification from my accountant.
I recently did the same when converting IHL options that were all well.in the money.
It was disappointing to hear the CGT discount resets upon conversion.
However their now going even better so.I look at it is forced savings.....
