ive never understood the ring the company and ask them logic. they will only ever tell you what you already know and always say things are progressing well regardless of if they are or not. Now talking with them at the bar after a conference can be more useful but still taken with a grain of salt. No one is going to say "things have turned to shit and we can't get funding" for example hypothetically they will say thing are progressing well were just working through some small paper work issue and final checks up and running end of the 1/4 for sure.
