It reverts to you owning shares in a private company.. you don’t lose them as such, but you can only sell your stake privately (ie not publicly traded)..
I held shares in a company called byte power group (bpg) which was delisted in 2020, I still hold shares and receive annual reports as a shareholder in a private company..
