Bill Clinton came out last night and said that there's plenty of money and material. What is needed is for a number of countries to take over duties and responsibilities of different areas. At the moment everything is arriving everywhere and simply dumped there: Trucks are just hanging around waiting for orders; bulldozers, tents, blood etc, are all waiting to be used but there's no one to co-ordinate all this.
I was in touch with a red cross person all night last night and she told me that the damage is so enormous AND continuous that no one knows where to help first. Access is impossible. There are bodies and body parts floating everywhere.
It's unfortunate but it's the first time that such a calamity has hit us. The logistics are difficult.
