One surprise for me in the November figures from Corelogic : units continue to largely underperform houses.
In November, for the 5 capital city aggregate, unit prices increased by only 0.3 % vs + 0.7 % for houses.
Houses outperformed units in each of the 5 capital cities.
I find that surprising as the slowdown of the market (+ 0.6 % in November vs + 0.9 % in October) is probably explained by the fact that buyers are looking for more affordable options.
Also shown by the fact that last month, regions prices increased in line with capital cities, which is a new trend (previously, capital cities were increasing much faster).
