We know many things that will be in say 100 years - probably within 50 years (barring total wipe-out by nuclear war etc) -------- and what we can easily foresee ------- will require vastly new ideas and ways - of economics, of politics - etc etc - yet, here we are ------- with governments - sitting back and just dealing with present bushfire outbreaks and leaving the future - to ------------- 'see what happens' to me - that is NOT why we invented governments ------------- if we only ever intended to 'see what happens' ------------ then, we don't need governments for that -

Speculation is by definition without firm evidence. If you can supply firm evidence then fine, we can discuss but it won't be speculation, it will be a good step forward to understanding what may happen.
