For under $5 you can make your own fun.

54 sparklers. They don't burn like a sparkler! After 2 seconds the whole lot 'vapourised' into a spectacular ball of flame. It was contained, so no bits shooting any where.

I teased them out and tied them mid way with some twine. The idea was once the twine burned the whole lot would open up slightly to give a Chrysanthemum effect. Nope, it burned so intense it just went for broke. Ignition was one raised slightly in the middle, to then set the rest alight.

My daughters and niece in the back ground didn't have to run but got caught out by the effect and fright or flight kicked in...LOL

Note, this was done in suburbia under close and strict adult supervision. Do not attempt any silly antics in fire prone areas and without a hose or extinguisher to contain any 'surprises.'

For australia day I'm using 90 sparklers, now that I know what to expect...LOL
