There is worried comment in the article about WiFi users having to enter their email address, sex and age.

Anybody with any sense would not be put off.

Create a new Gmail address for the use of the free WiFi, lie about your sex (assuming you know it), and increase your age to over 70 (then only sellers of paraphernalia for the aged will bombard you with unsolicited emails).

Asking for email address, sex and age is scarcely GCN invading your privacy - even if you told the truth.
