Our market is the play toy of the world because most Australian stock punters are spineless when it comes to investing. Most punters expect to invest in a stock hoping to make a quick buck overnight and complain ... Invest in stocks that are under the radar and patiently sit and wait.

Also, australias market is small which means retail investors are at the behest of shrewd shorters who know how to knock the socks off retail investors.... Shorting should be banned in this country as it creates too much volatility.

The Future Fund should also play a leadership role from time to time and pronounce that they are net buyers when the market is as low as it is... This can do wonders in sentiment.

My advice is to research stocks that are undervalued and patiently sit it out . When u want to invest in a stock perhaps invest a little each week rather than going in with one hard entry.

I still quite optimistic with this market and there is still plenty to be made.
