TShirt. Wont they have to (completely) drill to TD, log and case the whole well before they are able to (flow) test any of the zones.
I havent followed the drilling times on this one but could be some time yet before they are back down at TD right?
In the interim they can analyse cuttings, side wall samples (if they took any), on the upper zones but normally an operator - particularly off-shore will complete the well, then stand back and see what they have.

is probably on the money. Subsurface caught them by surprise. It highlights the unpredictability of a well like this. I am sure there would have been a lot of finger pointing between ENI and the rig -pretty sure they wont be surprised again
