T + 3 traders.....fact or fiction?
Just because I sell prior to my buy settling, does the sale negate my obligation to pay for my purchase within the T + 3 timeframe? Ie doesn't the sale process have it's own T + 3 timeframe?
As I understand it, if you have no intention to pay for the stock you're trading, you would have to exit it on the same day you bought it....not up to three days later.
Opinions?
