As soon as SCOTUS agreed to take up those cases article 2 went out of the window and proved Trump was right that he has a right and a good argument against the subpeona's. The Democrats are just pushing forwards quickly as they know they will (95%) probability lose the subpoena cases in SCOTUS which also has implications on the rest of these impeachment schmozzle's validity.
