Its a pity they ban the wrong posters on hotcopper but thats life. Please find included a post from David25 two weeks ago directly contradicting the post on this thread.

"It would seem that commodities will recover for 4 main reasons, firstly the large miners want a premium for their resources. This means even though they might have massive resources they want the maximum value per ton and will alter production in order to effect supply and get the best price.
Secondly China is also cutting production, this means processing and minning to lift the price of commodities, their cash cost is high and they can not afford low commodity prices.
Third the cash cost in the world are very high, and low commodity prices would send up to 20% of world producers under. This is not good for even the large highly profitable producers because it causes large swings in price. When you have a large swing in price the market tends to find substitutes because there needs to be certainty within markets. Fourth manny consumers of commodites are delaying purchases to force a drop in commodity prices.
If you do a little researce over the next 3 months you will notice that manny large produces are reducing production for so called plant improvement etc etc, some of it is true and others is just and excuse to hide the fact that they are trying to effect supply. A good example is Norlisk reducing nickel production.
Fourth commodity consumers are delaying purchases effect supply and force a reduction in price."

Commodities were recovering for 4 reasons and now their "collapsing" two weeks later. Hope no-one listens to fraudelent posters such as this...
