Look, I can sort of see the point of wanting to control the place but the multi-dimensional nature of the site is something I (and many others) do enjoy. i've seen threads on H/C on these issues and the # or reads can be 600-700 at times.
At the end of the day, if the title of a post sems to be something that doesnt interest you - you have a clear option not to click on it
If there are posters that annoy the crap out of you - use the Ignore button
In this way the moderation doesnt cause me to lose an element of enjoyment in the site and, at the same time, by proactive (dont ya hate that word by now) measures you avoid posts without affecting me.
