It would have been better not to have made any reference to a specific grade in this announcement at all, IMO. This is clearly a "PROGRESS" report on the bulk sampling program, not the final results. Yes it's a bit disappointing that more progress has not been made with the assays but for people to grasp at the stated "best" 12g/t when it is from less than 3 percent of the total sample is a bit like pulling one red smartie from a box of 35 and stating catagorically that they are all red.
Be patient, people. In the latest audio visual presentation on GDR's website, Andrew King speculates on the grade, (when asked during the Q&A session at the end), - "lets say between 8 and 12g/t".
Go listen to it again.
So based on that, you could say that the grade to date has been at the upper end of expectations. Still meaningless from a 3 percent sample size, from one reef - E5.
