Gold newsletter seems to equate Evergrande as possibly another Lehman Bros event. Possibly to justify that time to consider gold stocks.
It has been months that this thread has been cautioning about a prospective market correction, so with or without Evergrande, one has to be prepared.
But one thing I can say is that we cannot simplify what could potentially be a systemic event stemming from an Evergrande default from a capitalist lens because China operates very differently …its centralised control will probably ensure that a contagion is never allowed to happen.
The institutions that are exposed are mainly smaller banks in China but the big question mark is the degree of foreign exposure to Evergrande bonds.
