The HealthCo Health and Wellness real estate investment trust, which listed a month ago, has acquired $200 million in new property that has increased the value of the REIT’s portfolio by a fifth to $850 million, the company said on Thursday.
The company also revised up its anticipated funds from operation from 4.3¢ per unit of the trust to 5¢ and reaffirmed its anticipated 7.3¢ per security distribution for the financial year 2022.
Joseph Carrozzi, chairman of the REIT, said the acquisitions would increase the scale and diversification of the portfolio.
“The first post IPO acquisitions will be funded by HCW’s cash reserves and undrawn debt capacity while maintaining a strong capital position for future growth opportunities,” he said.
