The only hope the LNP have of winning the next election are that it can wrestle back the attention of the public (mainstream media really) to get back on topic of what really matters to most Australians: Cost of living, economic stability and probably to a degreee national security (China). These are areas the LNP hold obvious advantage over Labor.
Albos challenge is to stay low and let the Libs continue to dig their own grave if you will. Albo also has a challenge in lacking genuine credibility on national security (China), despite his obvious change in ‘posture’ recently. He’s perceived as soft on China and Penny Wong and KK have previous Links and relationships with the CCP which exposes Labor’s credibility. Albo will also be required to substantiate his climate program costs and economic plan.
Other than that Albo could quietly slip into the Lodge without fanfare, unless Russia invaded Ukraine which could also change the narrative in the LNP favour.
