It's both funny and rediculous watching the tv stations commentate on the US markets over here. They're loving the drama around this volatility. They're craving a crash, you can hear it in the excitement of their voices.
Today when the markets are slumping, it's the end of the world. Yesterday when the markets were surging, it was the end of the world. 'Hong Kong and China on the verge of war', 'recession is imminent', 'Europe is going to collapse', 'we're falling into the abyss'...
All of which could happen but gee they carry on in a dramatic way, makes our media back in Australia seem much more sensible, and maybe even a tad lame. Makes me miss home lol
