Zelensky now talks about WW3 if negotiation fails and while he has conceded on not joining NATO , he expects return of Ukraine territorial integrity; there is no way Russia would return eastern Ukraine carved out for the separatists. Zelensky’s constant attempt to drag NATO and US into a wider war to save Ukraine is a dangerous move, which makes him equally as dangerous as Putin himself.
Markets well have gone ahead of themselves wanting to believe the worst is over, even while Russia has hit Ukraine with hypersonic missiles and may resort to other more lethal weapons to achieve their objectives . I’d like to hope and believe that Ukraine can win this war without direct involvement from the West and NATO but it’s a bit like hoping Brazil or Germany losing to a minnow Poland or Denmark in World Cup Soccer.
There are no good outcomes from this war short of a ceasefire or a coup in Putin’s turf , more likely a drag out war with no clear winners , long enough to plunge the world into a deep recession or worse if Zelensky have it his way, the world would be at war , an existential threat to humanity.
