Since 17 Jun last year, and just over a year ago, this was how the various classes performed

* DXY up 14.5%
* XAU (AUD Gold) up 11.9%
* USD Gold up 0.9%
* GDX down -23.4%
* XGD down -28.5%
* BTC/AUD down -45.7%
* BTC/USD down -51%

and
* Gold/GDX  +31.7%
* XGD/XAU -36.1%
* Gold/DXY -11.9%

It validated my point from the beginning of the year that XAU is the best place to be in relative terms during this bear phase of the market. And at the beginning of the year, I also featured Radomski strong call for a stronger dollar. I think neither of us could imagine that it could get so much stronger. And it could continue to do so perhaps another 6 months before it cascades lower pretty quickly. The demise of the dollar will come (and Gold will return). Until then....we respect the Bear and what it brings.
