...how is it that Powell could not see it, when the Atlanta Fed which is part of his organisation is already indicating. He is conscious what he says can violently spook the market, so he lets other sources slowly seep its way into the market and allow it to adjust accordingly. Not everybody will get to know it immediately, so no big selloff which is what the Fed wants. The early bird with the early acquisition of bad news get to act earlier, the hopeful that prefer to stay oblivious will only know when the price action shows down.
