Unlike Gold, Oil goes through Boom and Bust like no other (ok maybe cryptos)....so people IMO should exit Oil trade when it is still elevated (though I am no longer making any prediction where Oil goes from here...because with Oil, anything can happen. We don't know what happens with Russia, Iran and geopolitics ). Oil goes through cycles because it is linked to the economy. And while we will progressively transition from oil to cleaner energies, oil will stay a dominant energy force for some time yet, that said, ESG investing trend is not working in favour of long term investing in fossil fuels. Gold on the other hand will only go higher over time in a more sustained basis, despite the periodic hiccup.

Probably a wise decision, as demand destruction hasn't really panned out as you said it would. I've seen you predict $45, $60, $80, $90, above $100....so many different predictions.
