Yes, the remark about Jobkeeper was in relation to Qantas. Jobkeeper idea is appropriate for the circumstance but atrocious in implementation - giving away free money to corporations seems ok at the time, but giving money to people is awfully difficult.
Its like a CEO of a company struggling with an impending loss, and his job is on the line. So go and find an acquisition with a profit to moderate the loss, but acquire at a hefty premium. He saves his job, but shareholders would have the bear the future consequences- of a heavy debt . Short term the CEO survives as does the company, longer term the shareholders suffer.
Anyway, we're here to celebrate ASN. One wonder stock is enough to make up for small errors elsewhere. And it is going to get better from here.
