Dow futures point to a 400 point drop at this stage but you can never second guess what Trump would do- a good negotiator should know where the balance of power resides and it is with China. China can take aim at Apple and Nasdaq will fall! China can sell US treasuries and US will have no one to buy their debt so they can live with profligacy. Less robust microcap businesses taking a hit today some making new lows (cheap gets cheaper) - these developments have longer term ramifications , you just dont see them surfacing just yet- hence my call for preparedness when the big kahuna arrives, it may be a year or two or even sooner who knows. Even as i think there are some bright sparks stocks, an overall equities underweight position has been my call since Feb this year.
