On the weekend, when I wrote about Wrong will remain wrong for longer, I mentioned that Trumpism has given rise to the new tech cold war between US and China and that there is no turning back. And listening to Roubini in the video link above, he alludes to the day when trade could become so binary that US will ask its allies to buy US instead of China, i.e choose US not China and likewise China would ask nations like Australia to choose between US and China. Already, Australia is in a difficult position being economically tied to China but militarily to US,...and one day in the not distant future which I hope will not happen, we would no longer be in the luxurious position to sit on the fence. That we can "thank" Trumpism for his legacy...so lets hope Wrong will not remain wrong for longer.
I have my doubts...everyone is seduced by shortermism and personal interests to see the forest from the trees...sigh.
