The regional bank crisis seems to be far from over:
So far in 2024, the regional bank stock index is down roughly 13%.
Meanwhile, the banking sector as a whole is up ~3% as large banks are getting larger.
This comes as New York Community Bank stock, $NYCB, the bank that acquired the collapsed Signature Bank, is down 70% YTD.
Many small banks are still feeling the pain of the regional bank crisis.
Are more bank collapses coming?
