There are a lot of different reports through social channels and the... darker sides of the internet that suggest that the Coonavirus problem in China is orders of magnitude larger than the official Chinese government statements. Different reports have been popping up since before the mainstream media outlets were reporting on the topic.
Of course you have to take what amount to unconfirmed reports with a grain of salt, however there are enough of them from different sources that my gut tells me the problem is at least 10 times worse than the official reports state, and perhaps hundreds of times worse.
These reports include things such morgue workers from a single facility in Wuhan from a week or two ago stating they were cremating 200 bodies a day and could not keep up with the work.
I got out of non-gold equities in early Jan, and cannot imagine getting back in unless we see a very large market correction, keeping that powder dry.
