@1ronnie a well-tried stratagem, remember Mrs Thatcher's successful 'war' on the 'Falkland Islands' (1982) - huge boost to 'patriotic' feelings in Britain, even formerly peaceful and Labor-inclined citizens felt a surge of nationalism, but it was early in her 'rule' and probably helped give her status within her own party as well. She finally lost power in 1990, having been PM for 11 years.
Let's hope Netanjahu has by now lost the hearts and minds of more than half his citizens and this will be viewed correctly as a desperate attempt at staying in power at all cost.
