..never stay till the end to find out (hoping), it usually never recovers. Money trapped in dead wood stocks can be better re-deployed into something else that can generate positive returns. There's no money in hope. Market participants who bought at the peak of the hype would never see full return of their capital. The irony is they know that, but they still hang on only to see it get worse by the day. Fear of a recovery that they'd miss and would never forgive themselves.
